I collect synthesizer, like you.
I have all, obviously those that deserve to be collected.
And i know them very well: cause i play and record them, and cause i have a great passion.
These beautyful machines, unlike most collectable items, sound! And sound amazing.
I’m italian: and we know well what music, art and technology is.
I will never wrote in my listings: FULLY SERVICED, like many. Those are liers.
If a unit is working it has no need to be serviced. At all. I used to bring my units to the service, like all collectors.
Sometimes you switch on a synth and it doesn’t work. What do you want from a 30/40 years old piece of gear?
Components fail, and whenhappens i pay to fix, as usual.
So: on my units i don’t give any warranty, and return it’s not allowed.
I will deliver you the unit fully workin, then if it will happen something, c’est la vie.
You will not became poor to fix it.
These units came from my collection, and usually i prefer buy and store, rather than selling.
But now it’s the time to sell some. After have own ALL, i mean ALL, the top vintage analog and digital,
i understood what are the units that fit my sounds, and i will keep those. All the others will go.
My favourite synths ever are: PPG Wave, Moog Minimoog, Oberheim OB8, OSC Oscar, Rhodes Chroma, Waldorf Wave… Pro one, CS80 it’s not bad too, but it doesn’t drive me crazy like the Prophet VS.
Obviously i’m a great fan of the Elka Synhex, as it’s italian, it sounds great, and have one of the best user interface ever designed. It’s a machine i know very well.
I tend to don’t buy new synths as theyr value usually drop, and vintage is more fascinating and better investment. But, but, if you have to sell a Schmidt i will be happy to deal about it.
Best Regards from Italy
